Starting Outlook Invokes VS2005 Install

I am using Outlook 2003 on a WinXP Pro system which also has Visual Studio
2005 installed. Whenever I start Outlook the Windows Installer pops up and
starts running the Visual Studio 2005 Install and asks for the VS2005 CD? If
I keep clicking "Cancel" it eventually terminates the install process and
Outlook opens.

How can I eliminate this?

let the install finish? There is a problem with one installer version and
letting the installer finish fixes it. Installing something usually fixes it
too, but it has to be a program that uses that installer.

I've had this happen too many times too. On client's machines. The problem,
of course, is that I cannot usually let it finish because I don't have the
original CD to place in the drive to allow it to complete. My client doesn't
remember where he put it!

Diane;

I appreciate the response but I have tried that several times and the
"install" always fails. It first asks for the "Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Professional Edition - ENU" (My CD is not labeled that way - it is an
Upgrade). I put in my Disk 1 - Upgrade CD and Browse to the msi file
"D:\vs_setup.msi" on my CD drive but when I click "OK" it comes back with
"Error 1706: An installation package for the product Microsoft Visual
Studion 2005 Professional Edition - ENU cannot be found. Try the
installation again using a valid copy of the installation package
'vs_setup.msi' ."

What do I do?
