Startup form changing unexpectedly. Why?

Ayo

I have a database application. I use startup to select the "Splash Screen" as
the Display Form/Page. But any thing I run a backup, or Compact and Repair on
the database, it changes the Display Form/Page "Splash Screen" to another
form. What is going on?
Thanks for the help.

As that setting is stored internally within Access and a C&R changes it, I
think that you may have a corruption problem. I recommend opening a new
database file and then importing everything from the old database into the
new. You'll have to manually reset things like startup forms and security.

Ayo,

I'm still willing to bet that you have some corruption going on. Have you
tried this on any other PC, just to rule out some weird esoteric problem with
your PC, such as a defective RAM memory module? Perhaps your Splash form
itself is corrupt, but not so bad that it cannot be imported.

Please stick with the thread that you've already opened up on this subject,
