How do I stop it from opening a window when the computer starts up. I still
want the icon in the taskbar...I just don't need that darn window opening up
everytime

It sounds as if you have the shortcut to the wrong program in your
startup folder. Take all the OneNote icons out of your startup folder. Go
to { Tools / Options ; Other ; [x] Place OneNote icon in the notification
area... } (works for either version but only enable it for one of them at
a time) YOu may have to disable the setting, reboot, then go in and
enable it, then reboot again.
