The Access Date data type can handle dates between 1 January 100 to 31
December 9999.

Hey all,

I want to store the dates of when each state became a state. So a lot of

the dates were back in the 1800's, what would be the best way to handle
this?

You will want to enter each date using the full 4-digit year.
