EPS, but also my text boxes won't print or show up in print
preview...Mac 0s 10.4.1...same when i print to pdf and then open the
pdf...only my body text shows not hte logo(picture box) of addresses
(text box). this worked fine in X.v but i just upgraded to
2004...printer is epson R200..also worked fine in X.v. nothing in the
header.
This could be messy. The R200 appears to lack Postscript capability.
Word is a bit funny about sending Postscript to pdf. It might think the
preview is good enough. In this case, it appears to be ignoring the
Preview (if there is one) when sending to the printer. I assume there
must be an eps preview, since Word is showing you the logo on screen.
Try this. Print, choose PDF, then choose save PDF as Postscript.
Then open the .ps file you just created in Mac OS X Preview.
It will think about it for a few seconds, then pop a pdf of your doc on
screen. See if you can print that (If it is a good one).
eps is a bit tricky. There are several flavours, not all of which have
good bitmap previews or the correct line endings to work well on Mac
and PC. I found I had to experiment with my eps logos (created in
Freehand) to find a combination of all the options available that
worked. And I have a Postscript printer, which makes it all *much* more
straightforward.
Even so, I have to use the save as postscript trick if I want a PDF
that looks OK.
Let's know how the save PDF as postscript experiment works, and details
of how the eps was made, and we'll see if we can get to the bottom of
it.
