I'm using Outlook 2003 SP3 plus all updates.
Using outlook html email editor (not Word)
In Mail Format options tab, I have "html message format" selected. Both
"Use MS Word... " options are UNchecked.
For Stationery and Fonts. I have "Ivy" selected as default Stationery.
In the fonts section, I have 10pt Comic Sans black selected for "When
composing a New Message" and the "Use Font Specified in Stationery) radio
button selected.
Problem:
When I create a new email, the blank email is created using the Ivy
stationery. By viewing the source code, I see the following:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<STYLE>BODY {
BACKGROUND-POSITION: left top; MARGIN-TOP: 0em; FONT-WEIGHT: normal;
FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0em; MARGIN-LEFT: 4em; COLOR: #427d64;
BACKGROUND-REPEAT: repeat-y; FONT-FAMILY: "Arial"; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #fffffd
}
P.msoNormal {
BACKGROUND-POSITION: left top; MARGIN-TOP: 0em; FONT-WEIGHT: normal;
FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0em; MARGIN-LEFT: 4em; COLOR: #427d64;
BACKGROUND-REPEAT: repeat-y; FONT-FAMILY: "Arial"; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #fffffd
}
LI.msoNormal {
BACKGROUND-POSITION: left top; MARGIN-TOP: 0em; FONT-WEIGHT: normal;
FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0em; MARGIN-LEFT: 4em; COLOR: #427d64;
BACKGROUND-REPEAT: repeat-y; FONT-FAMILY: "Arial"; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #fffffd
}
</STYLE>
<META content="MSHTML 6.00.2900.2963" name=GENERATOR></HEAD>
<BODY id=ridBody background=Ivy.gif> </BODY></HTML>
As seen here, the font specified in the Ivy stationery is Arial 12pt.
As soon as I start to type in the message of the email, the font is changed
to Comic Sans 10pt. and the last lines of the source code aare changed to:
<META content="MSHTML 6.00.2900.2963" name=GENERATOR></HEAD>
<BODY id=ridBody background=Ivy.gif> <SPAN
class=906475216-15082006><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" color=#000000
size=2>test</FONT></SPAN></BODY></HTML>
This happens to all my stationery and on all 3 of my computers. This has
only occured recently, since one of the updates.
How do I get the font defined in the stationery to apply?
