statistics - data analysis tool

Hi,

Could anybody give me any pointers how to statisically analyse the below
data matrix. Cols (1999 - 2002) are independent Years, Rows are dependent
categories (a - n). I am using Excel 2000 & data analysis tool (I have no
access to higher end stat software like spss & statview512).

Cheers,

What kind of analysis do you want to perform?
I am using Excel 2000 & data analysis tool (I have no
access to higher end stat software like spss & statview512).

R (a dialect of the S language) is free

Jerry,

No sure exactly, but I am trying find any significant data points or trends
in the matrix. Would really appreciate some pointers.

The values all relate to the same measure (a performance count). Cols are
independent years and rows are dependent categories. I could easily
normalise these figures and express them as a rate if this opens other
possibilities (matrix for this is enclosed below).

I'm guessing that trends across the years might be fruitful or data points
within a year.

Any help gratefully received. TIA.

Regards, Neil

If you don't know where you are going, how will you know when you get
there? I would start by plotting the data.
