Status Bar

On previous versions of MS Office (Word), the status bar
showed details of the document I worked in. Details such
as the page I would be working on. Now that I have
upgraded to MS Office XP, the status bar does not show the
page I am currently on. Is there a way to install this
feature?

Les,

Some features on the status bar are greyed out in Web Layout view. Are you
seeing this problem in print or normal view?

Greg,
I work using the normal view and on the status bar the
feature that let the user know what he/she is workin on is
grayed out.

Make sure that you have "Background repagination" checked on the General tab
of Tools | Options and are not using "Draft font" or "Wrap to window" (View
tab of Tools | Options).
