Probably not the issue, but just in case... Is your Word window Maximized? If
not it may be hiding behind the Windows Task Bar. Another possibility - the
Status Bar doesn't show if you are in Reading Layout View or Full Screen View.
Glad it helped - But keep in mind that you don't have to keep the window
maximized in order to see the Status Bar as long as you drag the window high
enough *or* modify the Task Bar properties.
