Status date field - does it exist?

Hello All,

Is there a field that keeps the date of the last update performed on a task?
I specifically need to track WHEN team members are:
modifying the % complete from 0% to x%
modifying the % complete from x% to 100%

I am looking for a sort of status date field.

That would probably have to be done with a macro that copies the current
timestamp into a custom date field each time a task is touched. But could
slow down performance dramatically.
