Status indicator question

Hi,

I've inserted the "Status" column in my project but it only says:

"Complete" or "Future Task" for the tasks and it doesn't show that

the task has been started ie. 5% done. Is there a column that has it

or is it a format issue or do I have to create a custom field?

Thanks.

If you are interested in % Complete, simply insert the "% Complete" field

Hi Jack,

Sorry, I didn't complete my thought in my question. I was wondering how I
could
reference the "% Complete" column so I could put in my icon or my words to
represent task was started. Thanks.

Jack,

I'm working on it and I think I'm headed in the right direction.
When I finish I will post my answer.

Ok,

Here it is:

1) Created a custom field by going to "Tools-->Customize-->Fields"
2) Able to reference other fields using the "Switch() function and the
expression was [name_of_my_custom_field]
3) usins a logical expression for my custom field like "=" ">=" you get the
idea right, to set the value to 0,1,2,....?
4) in the Custom fields under "values to display" I equaled to "0,1,2,....)
and on the right side I chose a graphical value and whoala...

Thanks and if any newbie wants to learn here is my first attempt.

Hi jp,

Use the Status column. It will identify tasks that are "Complete", "On
Schedule", "Late" or "Future Task". See also:
