Status Manager is OOO and Timesheets are due...

ok...so one of our teams has submitted tasks (probably created new tasks or
assigned themselves to already existing tasks) for approval. The problem here
is that those tasks are corrupt, making it so that the resources can't get to
My Tasks page due to known MS bug with adding a resource to a task with
existing work.

Problem is, the status manager is out of town and will be for another week.
It is end of month and we need to get all of our hours in and I can't
impersonate this person...(another general issue I have with MSPS)...so...

How can I get these task approved or declined so that timesheets can be
completed?

Thank you!

Shawn:

First see this to fix the corrupted tasks:

Then, have someone who will handle the updates while the PM is absent open
the plan and set the status manager for the tasks in the plan to him/herself
and publish. This transfers the flow and any pending updates to the new
manager. Have the original PM do the same thing upon returning.

Gary, thanks a million. Although I don't like the cheezy solution to this
issue ie unpublish each corrupt task in each project and republish...it
worked!!!

So thank you for pointing me in that direction! I just wonder what's gonna
happen when I republish those tasks.

Shawn:

You need to update your server and clients so that this stops happening. Why
live with software bugs that are fixed? Glad you got back on track.
