Status of resources "actual work" inserted

Carlo Folini

Hi,
I specify that resources have to insert "actual work" every day by hour in
PWA.
Sometimes happens that a resource (also me!) forget to insert the actual
work done in a working day (or parto of it).
Is there a way to track those mistakes?
The best solution would be that a notification will be sent when a resource
forgot to insert data for a day and if the problem continues the notification
will be sente to the project manager.
Something similar to the status report notification:
*******************************
Send e-mail in the specified frequency for overdue status reports...
Alert resources when their status reports are day(s) week(s) month(s) overdue.
Then alert resources every every other every week the status reports are submitted.
e-mail me only
e-mail my resources
e-mail me and my resources
********************************
Thanks in advace for any help

Carlo,

A simple solution is to use the Adjust actuals view on the Resources tab in
PWA. First, add all of the resources to the view. Then, on the View
Options tab, change the Show property to Outline Level 1. If you want, you
can change the date range to just the day in question. Unfortunately, you
cannot sort by the actual work column, so you will have to scan down the
list.

A more elegant solution is to write a query that tells you who has zero
actual hours for a particular day. This query needs to time phase the data.
The primary table is the msp_web_work table. You could use a variety of
display methods such as MS SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports,
or a bound Excel query.

Hope this helps.
