STD.MSI ?

N

Noel S Pamfree

I am trying to install Service Pack 3 for Office XP 2002 Professional
version.

It worked like a dream on the first PC (o/s Windows XP Home version) but on
the second (o/s Windows XP Professional) there is a problem. When I insert
the Microsoft Office XP disk I get a dialogue box saying it can't find
STD.MSI. It is not on the disc (as far as I can see) but there is PRO.MSI
which it will not accept?

Strange that it works on one PC but not the other!

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Noel

Hi Noel,

Std.msi is from the Office Standard Edition. You need
the CDs to match the description of the Office Edition you
have in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel.
