STDEV in Excel

I have read the posted messages, but cannot get the standard deviation function to work for excel. I am frustrated. I am a beginning stastics student and Excel has always seemed pretty straight-forward....until now.

Hi Susan,
It's pretty straight forward.
=stdev(A1:A10)
=stdev(a1,d3,e100,qq99)
=stdev(10,11,12,10,11,12)


Post an example of what isn't working.
