Stencils don't appear with template?

Hi, I have created a solution which relies on shapes in a stencil that I
have saved in the same folder as the diagram template file. I thought that
if you opened the template file, the stencil would appear with it too, and
it does if I open the VST file, but if I hyperlink to it from PowerPoint, it
opens without the stencil.

Any idea why, and how I can make sure the solution opens via hyperlink with
the stencil also open?
