Sticky cellpointer

Jakob

I have Excel 2000 on Windows XP.
Every once in a while the cell pointer gets sticky, that
is it expands over many cells and does not want to let
go. With some problems I could in general still close the
program. I solved the problem in the past by
reintstalling Office 2000. Repair did not work.
Now I have the same problem and reinstalling also did not
work. And I also cannot close the program and have to
reboot the computer.
Any suggestions?
Jakob

I suspect you have an MS wheel mouse. This had a problem with the drivers
and Excel which exhibited this behaviour. Either download new drivers or
re-apply the ones you have if they are the latest
