Still can't see task assigned to me in PWA

Jesper Berg

I made a project plan based on the Enterprise template, assigned some task
to myself and published it to Project Server.
When I log on to PS I can see the project, my name is on the tasks in Gant
chart but the homepage states "You have no new tasks assigned to you." and
when I go to "Tasks" I get "You do not have any tasks assigned to you in any
projects".
My PWA account is a Windows account and all ressources are assigned in
Project Proffesional from the Project Server.
Any ideas that might help me?

Did you ever get a solution to this problem?

Hi There,

Do you still have this problem? I was also experiencing this but have
managed to work it out. Mine was a user error, not enough knowledge of the
product.
Let me know if I can be of help.

Hi Ris,

We are experiencing the exact same issue where Risks and Issues do not show
up on the PWA home page. What is this user error that you are talking about
here? I would love to see if it is the same error that we are doing.

Thanks for any response.

Hi Rob,

What I forgot to do was to use a Template to set the permissions for
Categories and Global Permissions. I found once I applied the Team Member
template to the account I was geting the updated information on the home page.
You might need to send another update to the sewrver to triger a change. I
guess this is a stef I forgot to do.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks Ris for the response.

I also wanted to pass along some information that we received from the
Microsoft Partner website regarding this issue. Like you say in your post,
for Risks and Issues to show up on the homepage in PWA the user MUST be a
member of the 'Team Members' site group, they MUST be a member of the project
AND they MUST have task assignments within the project.

Once again, thanks.
