Still having activation problems.

My CPU and Motherboard crashed, replaced them and office needs to be
activated again. Use CD and never gets done (Office XP 2002).

Looked at registry and it seems office entries have been totally corrupted.
Can't uninstall from control panel or reinstall from CD as it says the
"patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists
and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that
this is a valid Windows Installer Patch Package" but since the product was
bought at the Microsoft Store I don't understand the problem.

Can anyone help?

I could use open office but would rather not as I own two copies of Office
one academic version from a teacher conference and one from the MS campus
store.
