STILL loosing indents

D

Donald C. McNeilly

I'm still here. I received one response to my problem but it did not help
solve it.

I am still loosing my first line indents in Pub 2003. Same thing happened in
02
but I hoped it would go away when I upgraded. nope! This only happens on the
right side of the graphic, left side of the text box. When I place a graphic
overlapping a text box the text all justifies left with no first line
indent. I have tried all combinations of text wrap and nada. Happens if I
use my standard text format or format from scratch. I have to go to every
paragraph that butts up against a graphic on its right side and manually
place the indent. It takes several tries and print proofs to get it right
because what is on the screen is not necessarily what prints.

All my presets came over with an existing pub. I did a fresh install (no
previous version
of pub on the pc) then opened a previous pub and all the settings came with
the doc, even design gallery objects that I use to close articles. All my
presets came along. I have a heading, basic text, outcall, birth/death, etc.
I used pub 02 for several years and manually dealt with the problem. I have
gone into the preset and checked and it is set for .25 first line indent.
but it does not happen next to the graphics.

My partner worked in the printing industry and everyone laughed when they
were told we use publisher. We are going into our eighth year of publishing
quarterly and I have been very happy with the ease of use but this thing is
going to drive me crazy.

Speaking of crazy how do you folks deal with the atrocious spelling and
typos? I'm guilty of typos especially in the heat of the moment but my
goodness.

As always, thanks for being here.

I sent the file and several messages requesting confirmation of receipt but
have had no response. I don't mean to be a pest but I do want to make sure
messages and file have been received.

Thanks

Brian's been ill and I think he said his little boy had pneumonia. He could
be a bit busy right now.

I have resent the file, 27.zip, just now. I sent originally on 3/31. First
attempt failed so I zipped it although it did not make too much difference
in size. I have a dsl account so I don't understand why size would be a
problem but... Thank you for following up with me.
