I work in a small office using Windows 2000 Server with Exchange 2000. I
would like to be able to synchronize my Palm pda with a Public shared
contacts & calendar folder AND my own Outlook contacts/calendar. I've been
able to locate one reasonably priced software package (Chapura KeySuite)
which will allow me to add Public folders for synchronization, however, it
stores them all in separate folders on the pda.
I'm sure this is probably necessary so that Palm will know where to save new
items entered into my pda, but it seems like there should be some way to get
around having to check two different address books or calendars whenever I
need to find something.
Does anyone know of a solution? Is there any way that I could keep the
separate address/calendar folders, but have Outlook copy all the Public
contacts/appointments to my personal folders prior to synchronizing? That
way I would have one folder for the shared items and one combined shared +
private items which would allow me to schedule meetings without having to
check the same days in two different folders?
It seems like there should be a multitude of solutions available for such a
common business scenario...
Thanks in advance.
