stock control troubleshooting

I am trying to create a relational database to manage stock flow using Access
2003.

How do you create a database where a number of stock is input, added to
existing stock then removed when sold?

I can't seem to link the quantity of stock to the stock itself and therefore
cannot calculate the amout of stock flowing through.

Is there any example templates available or macros?

It encourages you to calculate the quantity as needed, based on the last
stocktake value plus acquisitions less sales.

For a more comprehensive solution, including assigning stock to particular
orders, it would be worth buying John Viescas' book, "Building Access
Applications" (Microsoft Press, 2005). It includes a sample application on
the CD, explaining how to do this, so you get the application for free when
you purchase the documentation.
