Stolen original, how do I install again?

My laptop was stolen, so I can't uninstall XP office. I
now have a new laptop, but can't install the original XP
office! Any suggestions (apart from buying another copy)?

Use phone activation method, explaining the reason - you may require a crime
book ref, or at least it would make it more convincing.

If your original copy of XP was provided by the manufacturer of the stolen
laptop, you have exactly two options:
1) Contact the manufacturer of the laptop, and ask them to provide a
replacement for Office XP.
2) Buy a new copy
You only have these two options because Microsoft does not support OEM
software. That's part of buying Microsoft OEM software.

If you purchased OfficeXP via the sys.supplier it need not neccessarily be
an OEM copy.
If it is it will state so on the media. At least this applies in UK.

Notice that the person implies that his original copy of OfficeXP was ON THE
HARD DRIVE of the computer which was stolen. This sure sounds like OEM
software to me.

In the UK a supplier can install on yr behalf and it is full retail version;
not OEM

If he had a full retail version, he would have been provided with a retail
CD, which contains a CD key on the jewel case.
