Stop Account Collecting email?

Outlook 2007

I have a account setup for sending email it has no pop3 server for
receiving email. How do i stop outlook from trying to send/receive on
this account by default.

In outlook express there is a tick box to prevent it checking by
default

There's the same option in Outlook.
Do Ctl-Alt-S and click Edit. Select the account and remove the check against
"Send Mail Items"

Gordon's not quote correct. To preven any send/receive, while viewing your
Inbox, press Alt+Ctrl+S. Select the send/receive group, click Edit, select
the account and uncheck the box labeled "Include the selected account in this
group".

Thanks for the correction - I only saw the "Send" bit!
