stop asking to confirm each time to delete a message

"someone "hit something" and now each time I delete an email message, I get a
prompt asking me "are you sure you want to permanently delete this message?"

Yes, I'm sure. And I'd like to turn off this prompt. How do I do it?

Thanks, Roady. I'm in Outlook Express and do not have the tab you mention.
I have: tools: general, read, receipts, compose, signatures, spelling,
security, connection, maintenance.

I checked each tab for a "warn before deletion" check box, but couldn't find
it. We have two identities - one is getting the "warn before deletion"
message and one isn't. have no idea what happened.

Since you posted in a Office Outlook group the answer you got was appropriate. Outlook and Outlook Express are 2 different applications. You will need to repost this to a Outlook EXPRESS newsgroup for a correct answer.

Since you're also using the web based newsreader rather than outlook
express, you might want to use
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...px?dg=microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
(or, since you're using Outlook Express for mail, look at the steps in
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/community/columns/newsgroups101.mspx for
how to set up OE to use the microsoft newsgroup server).
