Stop Autoarchiving Notes

How can I change a note property to stop autoarchiving that particular note?
I can see the "Do Not Autoarchive" check box in the column but am unable to
check it. I am runing Outlook 2007. Is there a simple way to get there or is
it like everything else Microsoft, one has to travel 2,000 miles to get
nextdoor?

There is no per-item archive property. Archiving settings are for the
folder. If you don't want the Notes folder to be archived, right-click
Notes, select Properties, click the AutoArchive tab, and choose "Do not
archive items in this folder".

We all learn new things. I should have tried a table view.
