Stop Dock Icon from bouncing

I've gone in and changed the General Preferences>Notifications and unchecked
the bounce icon box. But the dock icon still bounces. Is there a setting I'm
missing somewhere? Is there a way to turn the icon bouncing off if there is
a mail receiving error?
