WHEN TYPING A NEW MESSAGE EVERYTIME I HIT ENTER THE CURSOR DOUBLESPACES
INSTEAD OF SINGLE SPACES. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN WHEN REPLYING TO MESSAGES,
ONLY WHEN CREATING NEW MESSAGES

The first thing to check is your Caps Lock key. It needs to be in the "Off"
position prior to posting a message. It makes the text more difficult to
read and is also synonymous to yelling.

Second, if you are using Word as your e-mail editor, check if you have line
spacing set to 2 (or double). In Outlook 2007 you can adjust it inside the
message (from the Format Text tab, look for the Line Spacing button in the
Paragraph group). I've forgotten exactly where it is in older versions of
Outlook.

If you're using HTML as the message format, Enter means
and Shift-Enter
means
.
