Stop Entourage trying to sync Exchange Calendar

I currently use Entourage to pick up my exchange email from one of my
clients via the OWA services they have enabled on Exchange 2003. This
works perfectly for picking up mail however it keeps on trying to sync
the calendar which has never worked and uses a lot of cpu cycles on my
Mac.

Does anyone know of a way of stopping it trying to sync the calendar
or a way to make the 'on my computer' calendar the default?

Preventing from attempting to sync is going to be tough (I'm not sure
you can).
To make the on my computer the default, you need to have either a POP or
IMAP account and make it the default.
Entourage uses the default account to determine the default calendar.

You can't stop the calendar from syncing, you just need to let it
finish.
