Hello,
I asked this question several weeks ago and it was never resolved so I figured I'd try re-word it.

How do I stop my Exchange account from checking mail when I'm not physically connected to the company LAN. I only want to check my POP and IMAP accounts via my ISP. The exchange account does not show up in my SEND/RECEIVE all options so I can uncheck it. What happens is when I'm at home and try to send an email via one of my pop or IMAP .mac accounts this message pops up saying it can't find the Exchange server. This is non-stop, the only way I can stop it is to connect via VPN into the company lan, log in to the exchange server then disconnect the VPN then Entourage does not give me those error messages. THe Exchange server account still shows connected ( which seems like a bug ) but I don't get the annoying error messages. Can anyone out there please tell me how to tell Entourage not to check for the exchange server when I'm not connected to the company Lan. I never had this issue till I upgraded to 2008.
thanks,
Rick

I'm not sure you can, but on the other hand, you should then get a
warning that the Exchange account cannot be reached and that's it. It
will display a Not Connected status and the other accounts will be just
fine.

Now tha's weird.... I sure don't get that. For me I only get the warning
once.
