stop graphic placed in heading change transparency

I would like to stop Word from changing the transparency in any graphic I
place in the heading area. I created a png in Illustrator to create an
illustrated band for the header, but Word keeps changing the transparency and
making it about 60%. I want it at a full 100%. I have checked help, and
online, but am out of ideas. Any thoughts? My thanks, K

The change in transparency only appears on screen in Print Layout
view, and is "by design" to let you know the graphic is in the
header/footer layer of the document. The graphic will appear at
full 100% in Print Preview, and will print at full 100%. That's
just how Word works. If you don't like the visual effect of
changing transparency, then you'll need to anchor the graphic in
the body of the document instead of in the header.
