Stop Macro Setup

Hey Groupies

Does anybody know how to stop 2007 from creating Embedded Macros when you
use, for example, the Button Wizard? I would rather just have Event
Procedures and I would rather not have to convert macros that Access creates
for me.

If you mean can you change a setting and get the code the Command Button
Wizard used to produce instead of the Embedded Macros, I think the answer is
no. Notice I say "think" because I don't run v2007, but I spend a number of
hours a day on this and other Access forums, including one I moderate, and
I've never seen anything mentioning this be a possibility. I also checked
Allen Browne's extensive article on 2007 and he mentions that Embedded Macros,
even with their error checking, aren't really up to most serious programming
tasks, but doesn't mention any possibility to changing the default to using
code.

I think you'd just have to hit "Cancel" when the Wizard comes up then go into
the Properties - Events and goto the code window thru the event you're
interested in.

Alrighty then.

I had checked and wasn't able to find anything so I thought I would ask.

Thanks for the confirmation.
