Stop music file during slide

How do you stop a music (mp3) file during the slide it is place in. File keeps playing until end of song. I only need 7 seconds of the song.

How do you stop a music (mp3) file during the slide it is place in. File

keeps playing until end of song. I only need 7 seconds of the song.

Simplest/most direct way would be to make a copy of the MP3 and edit it down to
just the bit you want.
