Stop open file through Document Property

Hi,

When you double click on a file with *.DOC extension, it is open on the Word
by Windows Explore. If you rename the extension *.DOC, for example to *.DO_,
Explorer continue opening the file on Word. Maybe it verifies document
property and identifies the file as Word document. Is it possible to stop
this behavior? I want Explorer open only *.DOC, *.DOT and *.RTF files
extensions on Word.

I'm using Office XP on Win98.
