Stop or clear footers

In a loop, I go to the end of a document, paste a document in, insert a
section break, and repeat.

I get a consolidated document with pages separated by section breaks. (I
delete the final trailing section break before printing!).

If one of the documents has a large, visible, footer, then subsequent pages
get the same footer. Which I do not want.

Is there a command I can apply to a section to turn off footers in that
section or subsequent sections?

Hi David,

In the UI, the command you're searching for is named "Same as Previous", and
you'd turn it off in the second and following sections. In VBA the property
is LinkToPrevious
I get a consolidated document with pages separated by section breaks. (I
delete the final trailing section break before printing!).

If one of the documents has a large, visible, footer, then subsequent pages
get the same footer. Which I do not want.

Is there a command I can apply to a section to turn off footers in that
section or subsequent sections?

Resolution:

The IT officer reports that she has turned off 'Same as Previous', added
a new page, DELETED the footer that appears on the new page, the DELETED
the new page. Subsequent new pages do not get a footer.
