Stop query running whenever I make a change in report designer

Hi All

Quick question: I'm working on a report in access 2003 that is based
on a really heavy duty query (takes several minutes to run). Whenever
I make the slightest change (making a label bold...) it reruns the
query, so far turning what should have been about 2 hours work into
over 10 - Is there any way of turning off this behaviour?

THe only thing I've come up with is to remove the report's
record source while I make the design changes and set it
back before saving the report.
