Stop receiving Status Report notifications for deleted status repo

We are using MS Project Server 2002 and PWA 2002. Some of the team member
are receiving past due status report reminders for status reports that has
been deleted. How can they be stopped?

i have a similar problem in that my clients submit a status report for a date
range but then out of the blue they will see an indication that status report
is due for the same date range even though they have already submited one. I
can see both in the archive area...one due and one done. I need to stop this.
