Stop requiring MSIE for downloads. You are holding your customers.

Have you learned NOTHING over the years? By 'requiring' that your customers
use MSIE for template, clipart, etc. downloads you are holdig them hostage.
Do you think we are stupid? That many of us don't know Firefox is a better
browser or that Linux is a more secure operating system? You stopped doing
REAL 'qa' of your products a long long long time ago. Do you know that I have
a P-III Win98 machine with Office 97 on it and that when I bootup my
PIV-1.1Ghz WinXP machine with Office2003 at the same time as the PIII.... the
PIII boots up FASTER and then when I open both versions of Office, Office 97
opens FASTER. There's not enough (real) functional differences between the
two OS/Office versions to account for the bootup time differences. I have
been a computer scientist since I graduated from high school at 13 and went
to work for Big Blue as a junior programmer, some 44 years ago, so don't try
'explaining' away the time differences. I know better! Get your act together,
do your QA 'right' and FIX YOUR DA*N products or you'll lose all of your
customers. I only keep XP on my laptop as a 'secondary boot' and only when
I'm doing work for a customer who still uses Office. For the rest of my
clients, I've persuaded them to move to Open Office and Linux. And I haven't
owned Microsoft stock in a very very long time, though my eBay stock just
split, again. Think about it.

Gee. nice rant. Sorry that your education did not prepare you for the
reality that using Updates requires ActiveX which you apparently choose not
to use with FireFox. Guess all that edumacation went for naught.
