Stop template overwrite

Hi,

I have a form set up in Excel that will have many users. Is there a way to
keep the template secure and have the user get the "save as" prompt?

Sure, save it as a template in the template location. (Check Excel help, and
report back here if you have further questions.) You could also save it as
"read-only-recommended", but this is not necessary if it is a template.
