Stop word going over page

Is it possible to stop word from going over another page, using anchors of
some sort or anything like that?

We don't want text on one page moving to another page. If that makes more
sense? Is it possible?

Hi Criminal -

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but Word doesn't really deal with
'pages' as we think of them. It works on the basis of flowing text. If you
insert more content prior to a given body of content the latter has no
choice but to go deeper in the flow, and that sometimes means onto the
next
'page' and/or generating a new one at the end of what is already there.

If you can be more clear on what you _do_ want to achieve, perhaps there
are
some suggestions to be offered.

Depending on how your document is structured, you might want to consider
using text boxes. Or even tables, with just one cell, which you can then
position on specific pages. The advantage of text boxes is that they can be
anchored to paragraphs, so that should be close enough to what you're
looking for.

Another thought is to use a Text Form Field & set its properties to a
specific number of characters. The only problem with Michel's ideas are that
if the amount of content exceeds the size of the box or cell there is no way
to view the overflow. Neither can be equipped with scroll bars. If you use a
1-cell table, you can set the height to whatever measurement you want and
prevent the 'row' from breaking across a page break.

Perhaps I'm just dense, but I still can't envision what you are trying to
do. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Fully correct, It can't be done as far as can be envisioned, I note the
reason being "word doesn't look at pages, and sees text as a continual
flow". Which is what a word processor is designed for anyway.

Thanks for your responses, it can't be done!

If you want more (simplistic) info on text flow in Word, see here:
http://daiya.mvps.org/wordpages.htm

Since you never really gave a precise situation, it's hard to tell whether
putting the text in a different layer/text flow within Word (e.g., in a text
box anchored in the header or set to behind text, or in the footer) might
have met your needs.
