stop "you've got mail" sound?

Every time I get an email in Outlook 2003 on my Toshiba Satellite U205
running XP Pro, I get an annoying "you've got mail" sound clip that plays
over the Windows XP notify sound. I've set the system sounds to mute
everything, and that clip still plays. I've set Outlook to NOT play a sound
upon email receipt, but that sound still plays. Toshiba tech support says it
is a Microsoft problem. Thanks for any help you can give.
