Stopping Message in Process of Being Transmitted

How can I stop, recall or delete a message that is in the process of being
transmitted? I'm trying to send an e-mail message with photos attached. I
believe the photo attachments are preventing the message from being
tansmitted - it's been sitting in the outbox for 3 days. I am unable to
open, move or delete the message from the outbox. Thank you for any advice
you have to offer.
