Stopping movie rewind

I have a slide show that works fairly well in Powerpoint version
10.1.0, but when I open it in Powerpoint version 11.3, all of the
movies play through to the end and then jump back to a static initial
image. When I go into the toolbar "Edit" function and open "movie
object...movie options" and unselect "Rewind movie when done playing",
there is no change - they seem to continue to rewind to the initial
image. Anyone with any ideas on how to solve this?

This is a known issue with the later version. I suggest setting a
poster frame to the last frame of the movie and see if that works.
