Stopping notifications based on project

Hi,

I have created an event handler that stops a project publish (using the
Project Publishing event) depending on certain conditions that are project
based, but changed assignments notifications still get sent out.

I was thinking about putting similar event handler in the Notification
Sending event that stops notifications being sent out based on the same
project conditions as above. The problem is that I can't get hold of the
ProjectGUID from anywhere within that event...not even in the xmlBody of the
Alert-AssignmentsChanged message.

Can any of you MVPs help?
