I know there used to be a way to stop Word from automatically opening a new blank document every time it opens or when I return to it after using another application. Can someone enlighten me as to where this fine function now hides?

Hi Rick -

To avoid generating a blank doc Use Command+Tab to return to the open
application rather than clicking the Dock icon.
