Stopping word moving objects around

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Please help!

Word keeps on automatically formatting the document by moving objects around. If I have multiple text boxes for example, I can't move one around without all the others moving. How do I turn this frustratingly unwanted feature off? I've tried every menu. But I can't fix it!

The fundamental structure of Word documents is a flow of text from beginning
to end, he text being contained in paragraphs. That text reflows as it is
revised. Any other objects inserted into a document are attached to one of
those paragraphs - either embedded in it like a character (In Line) or as
floating element anchored to one (by way of Text Wrapping). As the text &
anchors shift so shift the objects attached to it. There is a host of
