Hello.
I have a FE/BE split DB used by 3 computers and one table is causing
problems. When I try to open it, it causes ACCESS to stop responding and
close. (No error msg given). Cannot perform QRYs on it. Occasionally, it does
open, then crashes after a short time or, after closing no other table will
open with "no active register" (error 3021) or "cannot open in spreadsheet
view" error messages, "Jet cannot find DB", "the path is not correct", etc.
One time it asked if I wanted to compact and repair. I said yes and it
deleted the whole lot. Luckily I was working on a backup copy.
Thinking "Corrupt" (as one of the users decided to use my FE instead of the
one on their PC and kept losing the connection)I followed Allen Browne's
advice but "COMPILE" wasn't highlighted when I got to that step so I couldn't
do anything there.
I made a new empty DB and Imported the file (no relationships) and it opens
fine. All data "looks" ok but I'm no expert. When I tried to import other
tables into the new db then the troubles started again but only with this
TBL. In a related tbl the autonumbers suddenly jump from 126, 127 to
82765823, etc dunno if thats here or there.
So, basically, ACCESS just crashes all the time and I need some advice.
