Storage on information

Hi

I have GBs of information on my computer and have recently installed OneNote
2007. If I drag all this info into OneNote, will it create a duplicate of
this information or just reference from the original location?

Please assume all saving is on local machine only and not on the network.

It depends an the way you insert files.
One can *embed* the files. Than the data are stored in OM.
Or one can insert a link to the original file.

That sounds like a big job.
Depending on why you wish all of your files to be available in OneNote, you
might, even as an interim solution, utilise Windows Desktop Search. This is
the search engine OneNote uses.
