I've scanned the threads here and have a sense of this, however, I'd like a
little help organizing PP user design templates. I'm running Office 2003
(and it may be time to upgrade to 2007).
Word has an Option to specify folder locations for user templates (DOT). PP
doesn't have that Option. Yet when I save a PP design template it goes to
the folder specified in the Word Options. Is this just coincidence or is the
Word file location setting related?
I've come to think that Documents and Settings > user > Application Data >
Microsoft > Templates is the place to store user templates but I could easily
be wrong. Besides, if I had my druthers I'd rather them in My Documents.
This is how I've set up Word (My Documents > My Templates > Word) which works
fine (meaning I get to see all the templates when applying a Theme).
What's the wisdom on where to store PP templates (or any Office user
templates for that matter)? How does Office 2007 deal with all this and is
it an improvement?
Thanks
