Office 2003 Pro on Windows 2003 Standard Terminal server, both have latest
updates loaded.
For whatever reason, when users try to open a MS database (called db1), it
would attempt to open it in Exclusive mode only even though in Tools -
Options - Advance, the Default open mode is set to Shared. However, if
users open MS Access first and then open db1, it works fine. Any idea why
this is happening, and how can I fix it.
FYI, this happens to all MS databases on the network. Also, this is not a
group policy caused issue, because I have another terminal server in this
network w/ the exact same setup, and db1 works fine. I have uninstall and
reinstall office as well as deleting 11.0 from Office in the registry.
Thanks in advance.
